Forensic DNA Analyst

Nicole Inacio has extensive experience in forensic DNA typing and Mass Fatality work and serves as a member on several expert forensic panels.   • Board Member, The Alliance of Forensic Scientists for Human Rights and Humanitarian Investigations (AFSHRHI)
    • Provides technical advice and kinship analysis for both human rights and humanitarian victim identification investigations
    • Assisted several organizations in Latin American countries
    • Currently developing a project to build a Web based DNA database and a registry of birth families and Korean adoptees
    • Volunteer disaster response 9/11 NY
  • Allegheny County Office of the Coroner  
    • Served as a death investigator and assisted with forensic autopsies
  • Senior Criminalist, ASCLD/LAB accredited California Department of Justice, Richmond, California
    • Forensic DNA casework and high-through put DNA profiling
    • Conducted validation of GeneMapper human identification software v3.2
    • Provided training and mentoring
  • Northeast Regional Forensic Institute, University at Albany, NY
    • Assisted with training the students on laboratory techniques and instrumentation
    • Conducted data file review
    • Assisted with grading examinations
  • International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program, (ICITAP)
    • Worked with forensic scientists in Thailand sponsored by ICITAP to enhance forensic capabilities and expand their knowledge in mixture interpretation, instrumentation, and overall quality control of their lab practices
